Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon salt for pasta water
  • Filling
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Topping
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • Extra parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet and cook shrimp with garlic and seasonings until pink.
  3. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, simmering gently until slightly thick.
  4. Stir in parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce and mix until well coated.
  6. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Add pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
  • Fresh parmesan melts better and improves flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • You can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
