Ingredients
  

  • Chicken
  • lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • Sauce
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
  • Garnish
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions

Method
 

  1. Coat chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden on both sides.
  3. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, ketchup, and sesame oil.
  4. Pour sauce into pan and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy variation.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.
  • If sauce thickens too much, add a splash of water.
