Ingredients
  

  • Sauce Base
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Seasoning
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil optional

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, stirring until smooth.
  3. Mix in oregano, basil, sugar, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Simmer the sauce for 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in fresh basil, cool slightly, and spread over pizza dough.

  • Sauce keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days.
