Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Filling
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Topping
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil drizzle

Method
 

  1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add water and olive oil to form dough.
  2. Knead until smooth and let rise for about 1 hour.
  3. Prepare sauce by mixing crushed tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and seasonings.
  4. Roll out dough, spread sauce evenly, and add cheese and toppings.
  5. Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze slices individually for 2 months.
  • For crispier crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone.
  • Fresh basil added after baking gives the best flavor.
