Ingredients
  

  • Fish
  • 4 fish fillets 150–180 g each
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp chili powder optional
  • Marinade
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • Garnish
  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh parsley or coriander
  • Sliced onions

Method
 

  1. Mix yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and spices in a bowl to make the marinade.
  2. Coat the fish fillets evenly and marinate for 20–30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan on medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Grill fish for 4–5 minutes per side until golden with light grill marks.
  5. Let the fish rest for 2 minutes before serving with lemon and herbs.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Avoid overcooking to keep fish tender.
  • Swap yogurt with olive oil for a dairy-free marinade.
  • Firm fish varieties work best for grilling.
