Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • 250 g pasta
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Filling Pesto Sauce
  • 2 cups basil leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Topping
  • 2 –3 tbsp parmesan
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until tender.
  2. Blend basil, garlic, nuts, and olive oil until smooth.
  3. Mix in cheese, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  4. Toss warm pasta with pesto sauce.
  5. Garnish and let rest before serving.

Notes

  • Store pesto separately for longer freshness
  • Add pasta water if sauce is too thick
  • Swap nuts based on preference
  • Use fresh basil for best flavor
