Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken Base
  • 8 chicken legs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Flavor Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • For the Optional Glaze
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken legs dry and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and season with salt pepper garlic powder paprika and herbs.
  4. Arrange the chicken legs on the baking sheet with space between each piece.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Brush the honey soy glaze on top during the last few minutes if desired.
  7. Let the chicken rest for several minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Pat the chicken dry for crispier skin.
  • Use a baking rack for better air circulation.
  • Honey can be replaced with maple syrup.
