Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • 12 oz pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Filling / Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon basil
  • Salt to taste
  • Topping
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • Extra parmesan for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  2. Heat butter and oil in a skillet, sauté onion until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. Pour in cream and tomato sauce, then season with herbs and pepper.
  5. Add pasta and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Add vegetables or chicken for extra flavor.
  • If sauce thickens too much, add pasta water or milk.
  • Fresh parmesan gives the best taste.
