  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Filling
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Topping
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp parsley optional

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until tender. Drain.
  2. Melt butter in a pan and whisk in flour to create a smooth base.
  3. Slowly add milk and cream, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  4. Mix in chicken and cooked pasta until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle cheeses on top.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
