Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Filling
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts sliced
  • tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente then drain.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden and fully cooked.
  4. In the same pan sauté garlic in butter then add cream and chicken broth.
  5. Stir in parmesan cheese and simmer until creamy.
  6. Add pasta and chicken then toss until evenly coated.

Notes

  • Add pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Fresh parmesan gives the smoothest sauce.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
