Ingredients
  

  • Base
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 4 quarts water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Filling / Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Topping
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Extra parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Bring salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add heavy cream and simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth.
  5. Toss cooked pasta in the sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Fresh parmesan creates a smoother sauce.
  • Add pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Chicken or shrimp can be added for a heartier meal.
